Following an English unit on a now very topical issue of asylum seekers and refugees, Year 6 asked to organise and run a fundraising event in aid of charities supporting people seeking asylum locally and the current crisis in the Ukraine. The children baked a range of delicious treats for their cake stall, created very popular pick 'n' mix sweet bags and generously donated their own pre-loved toys, games and books for a bric-a-brac stall. On Thursday 5th May, the event took place on the school lawn so that children could visit after school with their parents. It was a roaring success, kindly supported by our NPS families and community, raising over £820!
